What is Botox?

Botox is the trade name for a prescription medicine called botulinum toxin. It is produced by Allergan, the same company that has Juvederm.

Neuromodulators, such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, are well-known for their ability to smooth out wrinkles and prolong future aging effects, making it the most highly sought-after cosmetic skin care clinic treatment. Neuromodulators work by softening the lines that can make you look angry, sad, or tired. The result is a younger-looking and rejuvenated appearance. How It Works

Botox Treatment is used cosmetically to clear wrinkles and facial lines. It works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles, allowing the skin to appear smoother and more youthful. These are typically done every four to six months in order to maintain the desired results.

No anesthesia is necessary before the procedure. It only works on areas where its injected and does not localized to other areas of the body. It takes about three to seven days for the injection to take full effect. Before getting Botox treatment, it’s recommended to avoid alcohol at least one week prior to treatment. You should also avoid anti-inflammatory medications and aspirin.

  • Scars
  • Frown lines
  • Crow’s feet
  • Forehead lines
  • Eyebrow furrows
  • Glabellar lines

How is it Performed?

Botox injections are quick and painless. The procedure is performed by a trained and certified provider trained in all types of treatments. Depending on your condition, the medicine may only take minutes to complete.

With a small injection, your provider will numb the area. The provider will then inject the Botox into the target area with a tiny needle.

After the therapy is complete, your provider may apply a cream to the area to soothe the skin and prevent redness, swelling, or bruising.

How Long Does the Treatment Last?

Treatments typically last for about three to six months. Some patients have reported longer-lasting results, but these are usually mild lines and wrinkles that take more time to develop.

We recommend that you come in for a touch-up treatment every three months to maintain your results

What to Expect After Treatment

After your therapy, you may experience a mild headache or a tingling sensation in your treatment area. You may also feel fatigued and need to rest.

You will be given instructions before your treatment, and we will show you how to care for your skin. For the next few days, your face will feel tingly and tight, and you may have some swelling.

The swelling will last around 5-7 days, and the redness and swelling will reduce significantly over the next two weeks. The results will be visible immediately, but you will see the best results after two weeks.

You will see your final results after two or three months as the residual effects of Botox wear off.

Is It Right For You?

If you are considering getting Botox, there are a few things you should take into account. First, it is not permanent, so you will need to get touchups every few months to maintain your results. Second, it is not for everyone. If you have a history of migraines, for example, It may not be the best option for you. Third, it can be expensive, so you‘ll need to factor that into your budget.
